Why Poland?
  • Poland is EU member with population over 38 million.
  • Within last 20 years the number of young people studying at universities and colleges have increased from 400,000 to 2 million.
  • Poles are one of Europe's youngest societies - half of the nation is below the age of 35 (47,6%). At the same time Poland holds the first place in the region in terms of number of students.
  • Every year half a million freshmen enrol in university studies.
  • Poland has a nationwide network of 456 centres of higher education. There are 138 state higher education academies including 18 universities and 17 universities of technology and 318 private schools of tertiary education.
  • Majority of young Poles study English at primary and high school level; some learn second foreign language: German, French or Spanish.
